Just put them on today. Ride seems better than the Edelbrock IAS they replaced. Only complaint, and the reason I gave four stars: I wish the rears were compressed in the box. The shocks are stout and it was difficult to get them in place extended. Now I do have an aftermarket rear sway bar on my 02 S10 2wd, however if the rears were compressed, it would have been easier to slide the bottom mount in place, “cut” the strap compressing the shock, and guide it into the top mounting location. We’ll see how long they last, the Edelbrocks lasted for just over 15 years before the pass rear decided to blow a seal, yet they still road fine!

I recently installed these shocks on my 1998 S10 2wd pickup with a 5.3 LS engine . The truck is lowered front and rear . I had an issue with one rear shock the lower eye mount steel sleeve was too small ID and wouldn’t fit over the stud .
I ended up drilling the sleeve ID to 9/16 and then it fit . Other than that install went as planned . Ride quality is far superior to the stock shocks . I highly recommend these shocks . I did provide feedback to suspensionlifts about the problem I had with the one shock .
