I put these shocks on my 2005 2wd Sierra 1500 in conjunction with a set of 22-1289 leaf springs rated at 2235 lbs (heavy duty option for 2014-2018 Silverado 1500) and they are amazing! Night and day difference from stock. The springs did lift the truck about 3 inches, which was no big deal for me as I was lifting the truck anyway, but this is a solid combination for me, rides nice down the highway and I can load it down without the sag I used to have. I wasn’t sure how these shocks would work since my truck is a 2wd but I took measurements and didn’t see any reason they wouldn’t fit. They do fit 2wd if it’s lifted.
