Cognito Ball Joint SM Series Upper Control Arm Kit for 19-20 GM 1500 2WD/4WD Trucks, Including AT4 and Trail Boss Models. Fits as stock replacement or leveled and lifted applications where an upgrade is desired to provide better performance, style, and function. Ample droop travel is required for good ride quality and all suspension components to last and work properly.

This control arm kit will add performance to the Chevy and GMC truck by correcting the ball joint angle for lifted and leveled applications. The allowable droop travel is also improved with the design of these arms.

Aside from the design, performance isn’t much different between boxed Upper Control Arm and Standard tube arms.

The boxed are a bit more rigid so you could say they are a hair stronger but under the conditions, these are usually used in, it’s more aesthetic than performance, ball joint angles.

Now the uniball is a lot stronger, and is great in dry conditions, but any kind of moisture, snow, salt, etc. the teflon liner in them will wear quickly.

While the ball joint is a sealed joint so it tends to last a bit longer in all weather elements.

Both are maintenance-free, well you’d want to keep them at least clean from dust and grime
