Bilstein B8 5100 shock absorbers are designed as a direct fit solution for lifted trucks and SUV’s. These shock absorbers feature a monotube design which provides consistent fade free performance. B8 5100 shock absorbers utilize a unique, velocity sensitive, digressive piston which reacts to changing road conditions. All B8 5100 shock absorbers are tuned for each specific application to assure optimal performance is achieved. B8 5100 shock absorbers offer a significant improvement in ride quality, handling, and comfort.

    Had them on previous ‘17 F-150 4WD so had to upgrade on the new ‘20 Silverado 4WD. They make the truck feel so much more “planted” and in control…especially while pulling a trailer. Best under $200 upgrade you can do…the factory shocks are way too soft.

    AMAZING upgrade on my 2020 Silverado RST. Otherwise stock, these made a huge difference in ride quality. The rear is planted now and doesn’t bounce around. Now I want to do the fronts. So worth the $180. Excellent service from this site as well.

    Bought these to replace the Rancho Single Action rear shocks on my 2019 RST Z71 4×4 Silverado, which have a packing problem over washboard roads and rougher roads.
    They make the back end walk out on you, at the same time unloading the front end!
    Installed the Bilsteins and drove my truck to the place where I almost swapped the Truck out with the Rancho’s installed. I even sped up when I came up to that set of washboards, the Truck was locked in, not so much as little back end dance!!

    The one thing you will notice, is these are a stiffer ride, but should mellow with miles. These are a MUST BUY if your Truck has those Rancho shocks installed,,,

    Just installed them on a 2020 silverado rst, the truck drives better, yes you might feel couple more bumps but they isn’t any more body roll. Definitely worth the money, and these guys shipped them super fast!!

    My five star review reflects two things: bilsteinlifts.com service and first impressions of the shocks. First, the service was great. I received the shocks in a few days. No problems. The price was great. I’d definitely deal with them again. Second, on the shocks… so, I have a 2021 Silverado 1500. The rear-end was unreasonably bouncy at highway speeds when encountering road gaps, etc. I mean way too much. So, I researched and found a lot of owners are putting the Bilstein 5100s on in place of the OEM Ranchos. I’ve done that. It was my first time installing a pair of shocks (rear shocks, only). It was quite simple. My short rides around town show a difference in handling. It’s more polished I guess I would say. A bit smoother. It will take more time and definitely some time on the highway to figure out if my rear-end problem is fixed.

    I had a 2007 and put the rancher shocks on and right off the bat those things are junk. So i recently bought a 2019 that jumped around in the rear well guess what they come factory with those junk rancho shocks..and i new right away i had to get shocks so the reviews on these bilstein shocks were great so i put them on and what a difference. Awesome shocks i will be ordering the loaded fronts soon. Thanks for a great shock
