Bilstein B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) shock absorbers are designed for trucks and SUVs with a front OE coilover style suspension. Multiple snap-ring grooves in the body allow for different spring seat positions, providing 0-1.1 inches of front lift with OE springs (depending on application). The monotube shock absorbers feature a 46mm digressive piston a with self-adjusting deflective disc valve setting. Bilstein B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) shock absorbers provide increased wheel travel and improved handling. Utilizing a B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) shock absorber is the easiest way to level out your vehicle.

    Every truck must have these struts. I love the way the truck feels

      Tell me more about your setup. I see you have the ReadyLift kit installed. Did you max out the struts to 1.1″ and also keep the RL spacers? I’m curious, because I have a similar setup on mine.

    These struts are a must-have upgrade for any Trailboss. I kept the stock ride height, but you could easily level the truck with these struts. As with any other set of Bilstein 5100’s, these will firm up the truck and you do feel more of the little bumps, but the large bumps get soaked up. I have a heavy winch on the nose of the truck and keep a few hundred pounds in the bed toolbox at all times, so the OEM shocks quit in 40,000 miles. Even with the extra weight, the truck feels planted on the road more so than it did fresh off the lot. I also tow a large 24′ car hauler occasionally, which is why I opted for the stiffer 5100’s rather than the more OEM feel of other shocks. Would highly recommend these for the Trailboss or really any other truck. Most people report these lasting over 100,000 miles, so we will see how they hold up.

    This kit made a huge difference in making my truck smooth and firm. Takes larger bumps much better and gets rid of the cab wobble when going over large bumps. Customer service was amazing, had an issue with one of the front struts and they sent out a replacement the very next day without having to jump through hoops.
