Overview:
This Rear Lower Shock Shin Guard is made out of 304 Stainless Steel. This guard prevents your rear shocks from dragging on rocks and other obstacles while on your offroad adventures. The “Shin Guard” design helps prevent debris from prematurley wearing your shock’s shaft which will prolong the shocks life. Stainless Steel was our first choice for this piece because it is exposed to the elements and road debris more than any other part of the rear suspension. The hardened stainless will prevent corrsion and will not gouge like common steel skids.
Technical Specs:
- 12 Gauge 304 Stainless Steel Contruction
- Shock Mount Molded Design Maintains Clearance & Will Work with most Aftermarket Rear Shocks
- T.I.G. Welded Joints for Strength and Aesthetics
- ICON’s “Shin Guard” design Protects against debris from Prematurely Wearing the Shock’s Shaft, which will Increase Longevity
- 100% MADE in the USA!

For anyone wondering- I installed these on a 2014 5th gen 4runner. They do fit. however, they DO NOT fit King 2.5″ shocks. I went to install these and they didn’t fit, I completely modified them to fit and to be honest the fitment is garbage. they would probably work on stock or stock style shocks but if you have oversized lower mounts such as the King racing 2.5″… They wont work. I will be removing mine as they are completely destroyed after one light wheeling trip. They don’t do much to cover the shock shaft either they are only about 5″ tall. Would have given more stars but felt like I should have just made my own.

Rick – Why would you assume ICON would make this compatible for KING? You should have called ICON directly. These work fine if you have ICON. Worked flawless for me.

Last spring I went wheeling with my 2022 Tundra, using 4×4 in mountain mud. My rear shocks got sandblasted/pitted real bad. I got the shock shields in hope to prevent this from happening again to my new Dobinsons MRR shocks. They fit just fine, easy install.
