I bought the OME 885 coils and paired them with bilstein 5100 struts at the lowest setting. I have a 2wd v6 with no additional weight in the front and I got 4.5″ of lift over my previous stock ride height not including new tires. I was able to clear 285/70/17 trail grapplers with this which are true 33×11.5 unlike many 285/70/17. I am very pleased with the look of my 4runner and the front is perfectly level with the superflex rear coil springs which I got 2.5″ of lift from. Very good quality.

What year of 4runner do you have?
Cos im planning on doing OME 885 ( setting the bilstein at lowest perch ) and toytec superflex 2 inch.
How was the ride?

I have added a winch with synthetic line and a semi-hidden bumper to my 4Runner so I ordered the medium load spring and Nitro Chargers. This provided a full 3” of lift as advertised. The ride is firmer, speed bumps are still smooth, and no more brake drive. OME says 50mm lift but it would take a lot of weight to get that low.

ordered the 885’s paired with bilstein 5100’s to replace the old worn out XREAS suspension that came on my 06 limited. no more brake dive or wobble over bumps on the highway. off road test to come soon.

Added the 885 to 2018 TRD off road on Bilstein 5100 on factory setting. As stated above it lifted more like 4” than advertised 2”. I have not added bumper and winch yet which will bring it down but at the spring rate 590 lb/in it should only be 1/2” or so. All in all works and performs good just expect a bit more lift than 2” from my experience.

Mike, edit to above review for accuracy. After breaking in coils they settled down around 2.75″ not up at 4″. Currently no additional weight on front.

2003 4Runner SR5 V8.
Bought the 883 for the front struts and paired it with the 2895E coils in the rear. Love the look of the car . Has a slight rake still and gained some clearance for bigger tires when the time comes . The ride quality drastically improved and I used bilstein 5100s with these coils.

Not sure yet- I have a steel bumper and winch, rock sliders and rack on my 2018 4runner. I bought the (2″) 2885 medium (+110lbs) and 5100s set to 0. My upper control arms contact the springs at full extension (jacked up) and everything I’ve read led me to believe they would not. I like to think the springs breaking in will help with this bit that doesnt make any sense, so I guess I’m tearing it down and buying UCAs. Just a word of caution t4r friends…
