Product Description

B8 Control Arms are a direct fit upgrade for factory upper control arms on trucks and SUVs. The kit contains a pair of control arms which correct the caster alignment for better straight line stability with lifted suspensions, and the improved pivot angles increase wheel travel and reduce stress on the joints. These strong black powder-coated 4130 chromoly steel arms are a tubular design which allows for more spring and shock clearance and feature greasable polyurethane bushings and heavy duty ball joints for the ideal combination of ride quality and durability with minimal maintenance needed. They come with detailed instructions and all necessary hardware for easy installation and are compatible with all Bilstein shocks and coilover kits. All components are replaceable.

Couldn’t be happier with these Bilstein UCA’s. I have only had them on for a few hundred miles, but the installation was a breeze. **You will need a vise, or press to get the bushings into place, and maybe a couple extra hands to line it all up** As far as components, they have Moog ball joints, and poly bushings, so they can be replaced as they wear out. I called Bilstein, and they will sell you the bushing set, and say they will have ball joints available in the future if you need them…but, the joints they used are available at ANY local parts store. So if yo have a press, you can replace all the wearable stuff. Otherwise, there are zirk fittings on the joint, and both urethane bushings, so you can take care of keeping them lubed and blow any dirt out. At my local tire store, it took them 30 mins to do an alignment, and got toe and camber to just about 0 deg each, and around 4.5 deg on the caster.. much better than the stock UCA’s.
**Bilstein does not supply any type of cap for the Ball Joint Zerk area, so I cut a little bit of foam I had laying around and permatexed it in so the area will keep dust free.

Before installing these Bilsteins, I tried a set of OME, and they didnt work out at all.. when I tried to lube the ball joint, it wouldn’t take any grease, and it ended up blowing the top off of the ball joint..with a hand pump…. and their CS said they couldn’t replace the UCA for months because they just didnt have any… I opted to try the Bilsteins, and dont regret it.

Decided to try these after a set of Icons kept giving me problems. I was changing my whole suspension to Bilstein 6112/5160 anyways, so why not keep everything Bilstien?
So glad I did. These are fantastic. They keep a tight control on steering, without feeling harsh. I am at 2″ of lift and my alignment guy was able to get it all within spec. I like that the balljoint is OE style, so when one fails I can just go down to a local shop and grab another one (unlike when my Icon failed, I had to order a new set from them). Don’t assume though that because is OE style, is somehow cheap. It’s a MOOG ball, and I don’t know how but Bilstein got a higher quality version than the ones you buy at a store or on Amazon. The built quality on the rest of the arm is great too. Hard to see it on the pictures, but having them side by side with my other UCA you can see how these are top not. And I’ve tried Icon, Dobinson, Elevate, and SPC. Makes me want to stay a loyal Bilstein costumer. The tolerances on the bushings did make them a little more difficult to squeeze in. Had to use a bench press, couldn’t do it with the rent-a-kit from the store. But it was worth it, you can feel how well all fits and has been manufactured. HIGHLY recommend these for anyone that wants less complexity, but also wants an upgrade. The only downside is the lack of cap. But I can overlook that. Hopefully Bilstein makes one in the future.
