  1. Jeff

paired these with pro comp 9000 shocks in my 1998 4runner, gave me 3″ of lift, and it feels like a completely different vehicle! Is handles so nice, and off road it is amazing. took about 3 hours to install but well worth it. i dont carry any extra weight except 75 pounds subs, and this ride is firm but a very good kind of firm.

  2. Pete

I carry alot of extra weight on my 4 runner. These work great !!!!!!

  3. Moses

Installed easily. Look clean. Heavy duty coils.
Only complaint is that the package came with no indication for which coil goes on which side. One had an A and one a B, but no way to know..
Most suspension pairs have a clear position. the driver side with the driver and fuel tank has a compensation factor. I guessed on it since there was no instruction so I hope it settles properly!

  4. Jesse

    Work amazing! Easy install

  5. Nancy Romero

Parts are of good quality! Excelente servicio!

  6. Mike s

A is for Driver side, B is for Passenger side.

  7. SCOTT SLATER

    So far so good!
Installed them last night to balance out my 2 inch front lift spacers after the rear stock springs were just done even with 2.5 inch spacers.
The OME website says if you carry 660lbs or more consistently to get 1 inch more lift than you need and it will sit raked when empty but level when loaded.
I carry 900lbs of Akitas everwhere I go.
And these sit exactly as advertised.
Raked empty, and dead level with my 2 inch front lift.
On 32 inch tires all 4 fenders ate at 37.5 inches from the ground to the center of the wheel well lip.
They ride good, not bouncy or stiff.
If nobody told me, I would have sworn they were stock springs.
Would tell anybody who wants to cure a saggy butt 4runner to buy these!

  8. Niki Jaramillo

Very great product, installed super easy and rides very smooth. Very happy with them!

fixed saggy rear end on 97 4runner, aka SANDSTORM. Storm is a sr5 2wd, 3.4 v6 all original powerhouse with 270,000 miles. ac will freeze you out, no muffler and puurs like a kitten ready to pounce… 0 – 100 mph…quickly and loudly! get out of the way! no lift needed or any extra parts, just pull of the crappy “saggy” coils and pop the “heavy duty” old man emu’s in. make sure you order the “heavy duty” coils 2891. invest in a friend or someone with knowledge, some tools and a cool shaded area… and use coil spring compressors for easier self install. evenly compress the coils with the coil compressors as much as you can because it is a tight squeeze.
do one side at a time… removing tires, spare tire, shocks and control arms before removing coils and installing new coils makes for slight easier process. and while you are under there replace any or all worn out bushings. while under vehicle; replace fuel filter (easy and cheap, if you don’t know or remember when the fuel filter was replaced it’s time to replace it…and stick with Toyota or other reliable brand filters and products…don’t be cheap!) take the time a do it right the first time and don’t rush. ask for help and take breaks. DONT OVER TIGHTEN! always double-check your work. when it doubt check it out. there are two ways to skin a snake. expect some knuckle busting. some unexpected errors. if it ain’t broke don’t fix it and if it is broke it can be fixed. inspect u joints, inspect rear brakes and clean drums while you have them off..deep cleaning required (feels good to get greasy and dirty, comes off after a few days.) and check rear diff fluid. easy peazy. get rid of ALL the stock molding on the running boards and flaps, say goodbye to the splash guards under the fenders and hammer some around the edges then
throw on some 35’s and throttle down… these coils make for such an enjoyable ride on and off road…rides are beautiful now! these coils should be stock and installed from the factory, the actual OEM coils that were recalled are to weak too.

these coils should be stock and installed from the factory, the actual OEM coils that were recalled are weak too. Do not pay for faster shipping. free standard shipping practically arrived overnight from Jacksonville to Leesburg. they have warehouses throughout the country. I was expecting a few days to a week with standard shipping but by the time I got tracking info and package was sent I was getting notified my coils were delivered. no Amazon required, just go ol’ fashion customer service and quality products by Bilstein. thanks so much Bilstein!!
    Bilstein keeps Toyota “4running” !
