Perfect for what I needed them for. Added the 906 OME 2″ lift Springs to the 4Runner, and this is what I needed to do the job right. The only part that sucks is where the upper part of the shock mounts to the frame of the 4Runner, and that is 100% Toyota’s fault. Just be prepared for some good times if you’re doing this yourself. Shock is great though! Quality for sure.

Installed yesterday in my 98 4runner. I ve used Bilstein shocks before and had good success. I paired them with OME 906 rear springs. I like the ride quality.
The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is partially Toyota’s fault and partially Bilstein. Toyota should have created an access point to the top of the shock. Since that isn’t what happened, Bilstein should have made an adjustment and not tried to use a “one shock fits many” model. If they had machined two flat spots on the threaded end that you could put a wrench on, that would have been ideal.

I run Bilstiens on all 3 of my vehicles.
I needed to replace one that started leaking, but it was 4 years old on a vehicle that gets used off road. The other side was fine, and when compared to the new ones, the 4 year old shock was just as good! Now I have a spare.
