The relationship between vehicle weight and suspension is where Old Man Emu gets its name – the emu is a large Australian flightless bird, when it runs, its powerful legs absorb most of the impact, allowing it to move over all types of terrain while its body remains virtually motionless. This is what Old Man Emu strives to achieve with its range of fully integrated 4×4 shocks and suspension systems. Old Man Emu suspension systems include carefully matched spring and shock combinations engineered to improve vehicle ride, handling and control under various loads.

This kit has been specifically designed for your 2010+ 4Runner and has been proven in the harsh conditions of the Australian Outback.

One coil spring option 4001 with multiple “rings” for extra weight: No Bar, Bar or Winch only and Bar + Winch vehicle setups. Factory geometry allowed for a 2-inch lift and while still maintain an adequate level of droop.

I have had this lift on my 2015 4runner for couple days now and it rides great. This lift goes well beyond my expectations. I am no expert mechanic but know my way around a tool box and was able to get this lift on easily. Took couple hours in total. I just advice to check your torque rating on all the bolts you have to loosen and torque it back to spec

Are you using after market upper control arms with this lift? How’s your alignment?

This kit is awesome. Truck sits perfect and with some 33” tires on my 4Runner it’s just that much better. I went with this kit over bilstein 5100 and am glad I did. Also the customer service this place has is awesome!!!

I purchased this lift recently for my 2014 4runner Trail so I could run some KO2 285/70 17’s and when I purchases I chose the option of having the struts pre-assembled which was totally worth the money. I’ve never used OME parts before but they have a great reputation and the parts look to be manufactured well.
The installation was pretty simple and straight forward with no complications.

The results seem pretty great so far. I used Spidertrax 1.25″ spacers with factory wheels and the stance is perfect. The fronts looked too far inboard after the lift without them or a negative offset rim. The ride is a lot more firm and the annoying nose dive under braking is gone now. I like it better since it rides more like an off-road vehicle and less like a luxury vehicle.

The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star review is the fact that it came with zero instructions for installing the kit. I found what I needed by looking at the Slee offroad website for the OME installation instructions and found a pair of installation videos from lowrangeoffroad youtube channel.

I found and saved many instruction videos on laptop.
Transferred to my garage laptop. Did the rear 3” lift shock spring and suspension swap.
What a change. living in mountains, and the rear made it run like new.. getting closer to 500k.

      Wow, a lot better better.
Life intervened for a couple months..Trail up on blocks. Remembering youth and the waste of good health on the young.
      Ready to do final corner.

Hoping that many of us will write instruct posts and/or photo install works.
Will save many unnecessary, (in my views), steps, time, and will encourage less experienced to jump in and grab the tail.
What some instructions and, I presumed to be a 3~4 job per corner, dropped to 3/4~hour job with a coffee break
Let’s have fun and make the beast what we want it to!

I bought this kit, some place that has a phone number. But arrived packed in Bilstein cardboard in packages. 2019 4 runner, lifted 3″. went with the medium springs. Having everything put together was a plus, (I assume Bilstein did this), Rides like a 4X4 now, which should be expected. 4 stars and would have bought here but no Phone, No directions. and the ones on line are not complete for the 2019 or at least the ones I found. But done lifts before. The front end drop is a waste of time unless you put the third spacer in. On the 19 there is one in back of the front end. 2 in the front. kit only comes with the 2 front ones and 1/2 inch bolts. I installed as drop kit directions, but am taking it back apart, this design cocks the front end down in the front. Looks more like 5/8 were installed at factory??? This drop actually only drops axles about 1/4 inch and put input shaft higher than stock. putting yoke on drive line at upper angle. I will add spacers to back and get correct size bolts, There is a slight vibration now, but think this will fix it. All in all happy with the lift. Also installed 3″ drop upper control arms.

So I purchase this 3inch OME lift kit. Installed the full lift but noticed the front tobnot be much higher than before and given the new height of the rear drew some confusion. Thankfully I measured center of hub to bottom of fender before installation. The front end has only lifted 2 inches but the rear 3.5. I emailed the company for help and have been outright lied to, and given the run around. I was told the website says it’s a 2.5″ lift kit and I have proof that that’s not what it says, this is beyond unprofessional and frustrating after spending $1143.xx I will be attaching the fraudulent picture the customer service person sent me vs what the website actually says. I’ll be updating and posting all this to social media as it transpires.
