    Awesome. Most cost effective way to lift the front and have future options for lift height. Easy to install, used stock coils, got 2+” of lift (front), required realignment, added a diff drop. Rear stock TRD shocks are two different lengths and limit travel with any lift and can also act as a violent liminting strap if lift is added. I’ve lifted two 95-04 tacomas several different ways; this is the least expensive, easisest and correct way to do an under 2.5″ lift.

    I just put the Billstein 5100s all the way around on my 04 Tacoma 4×4 Xtra cab along with some Cooper A/T3 265/75/16 LT C tires (one size up from stock) and I have to say I’m very impressed with this product. Got 2 full inches in front on the third ring setting and an inch in back because of the tires. Truck is leveled and looking a lot better and riding way better too. I eventually want to do a full 3 inch lift with new springs, add a leaf in rear and LR UCAs eventually. Cool thing is there are a bunch of lift options with these shocks so you can do it in stages. As it sits right now it’s a perfect enduro truck. Great daily driver and capable little off roader.

    These shocks outdid my expectations and then some. I put the 5100’s all around on my 2002 Tacoma with the fronts set on the third ring and achieved close to 2.5 inches of lift. I paired the shocks with the 1 inch toytech block offered in the rear and my truck is leveled perfectly now. I recently just picked up some 33 inch tires (285/70/17) and they surprisingly fit very well. I obviously am rubbing up front when the wheel is fully cranked and will have to do some trimming. Haven’t gotten the time to trim yet but I don’t think I will have to cut that much out. The ride quality is excellent in my opinion. It is surely a stiffer ride in comparison to the stock shocks but I prefer that. It feels much more responsive and not like I am on a trampoline after going over bumps in the road like the stock shocks. Definitely would recommend.

    Shipping was fast, shipped the day after I ordered and arrived a couple days later. Installed on my 04 Tacoma Prerunner DC V6. Installation was easy and straight forward, but I highly recommend a professional shop do the coil swap for the front shocks/coils. The rear shocks do say they fit a 0-2.5″ inch lift, but installing on a rear stock height, the rear shocks are really compressed and bottomed out a few times. I ended up ordering a 1″ rear block lift so the rear shocks won’t bottom out and become damaged. Overall this is a great budget kit and highly recommend it for anyone wanting a small lift.

    This is my 2nd set of 5100. The first was on my 10 fj cruiser on 3rd setting. Rides great and supported the weight of a bumper and winch. My second is on my 03 Tacoma double cab. Same setting on 3rd clip and paired with a 1.5 add a leaf gave the perfect stance. Running 265/75/16 with no rubbing at all. Both vehicles ride amazing and this is by far the best value for quality.

    These breathed back life into my 2003 Tacoma’s suspension and gave her a nice 2.5 inch lift. I used a 1.5 inch add a leaf in the rear and it perfectly leveled my truck. Driving on and off road is far better than it was before. I think that these adjustable shocks are the best and most cost effective way to achieve a reasonable amount of lift. I did not see any need to install a differential drop kit. I ordered Bilstein replacement shock bushings, part #: B4-KT1-Z103A00. I highly recommend getting new bushings and washers. The rear shocks came with all the bushings required, but the front shocks did not have the bushings that go on the stem below and on top of the strut mount plate. The bushings and washers only cost $26.

    2003 Tacoma crew cab Awesome shocks, paired them with a 1″ diff drop kit and 1″ rear blocks truck sit almost Level. Truck rides great not to rough. Would definitely buy again, worth the money.

    I have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma sr5 3.4l 4×4 TRD and I am using this 5100s to use with my 2″ lift and changing from 15″ to 16″ wheels and this shocks are perfect for the job. Very happy with the quality and price of the product, definitely and A+ for Biltein shocks.
