I love these shocks, went to install them though and the bolt welded into the too was stripped so I am currently waiting for a replacement. Will update once received.

  2. Keith Newton

Very fast turnaround from ordering to receiving. Haven’t had the time to install them yet but measurements look very promising. Shock looks very nice, well built except the plastic zip tie that holds the boot to the body. I removed them and installed stainless steel ties from an exhaust insulation wrap kit. I know it would have no effect on performance, it just looks more finished now.

  3. Keith McCaskill

Put the 5125’s on Rear of my 14’ Tacoma And sooooo glad I did !!!
Very great experience in the Whole process from beginning to end, arrived exactly when they said they would !!!

  4. Daniel Etchelecou

They arrived in a week. Ordered Saturday, received on Friday. Sweet!! Easy to install, had to trim rubbers with a knife to get it in to fit. But this is good, they weren’t too small. Easy peesy!!

  5. Fran Desautels

I installed these on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma Pre Runner. I spent hours cutting the spacers and rubber bushings on the bottom mounts. I made it work but it seems that the bottom bushings are not designed for this truck. I also had to redo the threads on one of the studs.

  6. Daniel Morphy

Fantastic Ride! My 2007 Tacoma now rides better than my brand new 2021 Jeep Gladiator. B8 6112 coil over Shocks and 5125 rear shocks with a 2.5″ lift. Easy install and great quality! Love it!

  7. Randall Jacinto

Love these works well with readylift 3/2 bilstein coilovers, you do have to trim the bushing a little though but nothing to serious.

  8. Justin Moses

Night and day difference in drivability with a lifted Tacoma. Only downfall was the modification of the bushing and ring in order to fit inside the shock mount. It’s apparently a common issue on the 16-17 Tacoma. Regardless a little trimming and the ride is great. I utilize my truck on a lot of trails moderate and above and it’s definitely nice to finally have some rear shocks that don’t struggle with flex and load.

  9. Tom

Shocks work great. Only reason I gave them 4 stars was the metal bushings for the bottom of the shocks is too long and has to be cut down.

  10. Freddy Nava

Bottom shock where it mounts to the perch was too wide and I had to bend my bottom perch mounts out to get these to work even though I typed in the proper you’re making model. Doing so I damaged a little bit of the bottom shock bushing. I shouldn’t have had to bend out quite a bit my bottom shock mounts so this is a wrong fitment for my 22 Tacoma TRD sport!!

  11. Pickles

I tried to put these on a 2009 Tacoma TRD along with 2.0” lift rear leaf packs. Turns out, the bushings are the wrong size for the truck, and they’re too short for that setup. And, it turns out, I should have bought these from this site, because I keep coming here for info about them. I do not recommend buying these for a Tacoma until Bilstein supplies proper length bushings for them.

  12. James Joung

Great shocks! It was hard to find shocks for a 2” rear lift. I put 2” blacks on my 2020 Tacoma TRD Offroad and the factory shocks were topping out and made for an extremely rough ride. I wanted to maintain factory rake so hence the rear lift. These were easy to out on, but the bushing and bushing insert were too long to fit in the bracket of the Tacoma. You will need a bench grinder to trim both the rubber bushing and the insert. A few seconds on each side and it was a breeze to install.

  13. Morgan Edwards

The bushings that come with the shocks are too wide to fit in the lower shock housing on my 2018 Tacoma. I didn’t have time to send the product back or order new parts so I had to cut the bushings and metal ID bushing to make everything fit. NOT ideal at all but I was pressed for time.
The shocks themselves seem to be robust, They just need to supply the proper hardware with the product to say that it fits the 3rd gens.

  14. Gerald Messer

2005 Tacoma TRD sport crewcab 4×4.
The shocks are great, however they come with the wrong bushings, even the extras don’t work, inside diameter of the extras are too large.
I bought these on the belief that the extras were the fix for the originals not fitting.
    This is false.
Cutting the originals down four they split and tear fairly easily.
I installed them anyway and going to replace those bushings when I find the correct one. I have no choice I need my truck to work.
This set me back about 3 hrs on installation.

Just an FYI with these shocks: Fit my 2014 Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab 4WD with a 3″ lift with slight modification. (The shocks bottom rubber bushings must be ground off approximately a 1/4″ per side so they fit into the mounting brackets easily.) I would rather grind a small amount of rubber, than to try to bend the metal of 10 year old mounting brackets. So far, so good with the ride. With the 3″ lift, I was able to install them without removing the rear tires. I would have given a five star rating if I didn’t have to modify the rubber bushings. Only time will tell how good the overall quality is.

  16. Blu

I gave it two star because it need to grind down the sleeve and bushing to make it fit into the bracket on my 2015 Tacoma DC. Second, it broke less than 10k miles and probably around 50 miles dirt road/ off roading. The rod look like it was suppose to be threaded on to the eyelid/ head but it wasn’t the right size so they weld the tip that barely attached on there. Check out the pictures

  17. Riley

Awesome shocks! Great upgrade for my bouncy 2 inch lift block. The bottom bushings and metal sleeves are too long for the Tacoma shock bracket. Will require shaving down the hardware.

  18. Evan K

a must needed upgrade for any tacoma

  19. Richard Trisket

Supernatural shipping and the 5125 bilsteins feel great for the desert terrain. A perfect complement for the 3rd gen tacoma.

  20. Mario

Issue came up with shipping but they fixed it instantly great customer service already installed in my 2017 tacoma
