** Ride heights indicated are typical. Actual ride height is influenced by which factory suspension the vehicle is equipped with and its condition; optional equipment and accessories on your vehicle, and other vehicle modifications such as replacement coil springs, wheel and tire combinations, etc. Modifying/lifting the suspension to your vehicle may raise its center of gravity and may make it more susceptible to loss of control and/or rollover, which may result in death or serious injury. We strongly recommend that you offset the loss of rollover resistance as much as possible by increasing tire track width, and that you equip the vehicle with a functional roll bar and cage system. Wear seat belts and shoulder harnesses at all times, and avoid situations where a side rollover may occur.

Excellent communication and very fast delivery! Thank you bilsteinlifts!

The shocks are great, very happy with them. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the instructions… they have room for improvement. In my case I couldn’t figure out if needed to adjust the front shock to position 3 or 4 to give me a leveled look. I did position 4 which gave me the max lift but left the nose 1/2″ higher then the rear. If you are not doing any lift to the rear I would recommend position 3. (This will make the ride a hair softer and leveled maybe a slight rake).

Shocks speak for themselves. Customer service was outstanding. Fast shipping and bilstein honored there price match feature. Buy with confidence!

I had these installed in September. 4 months later the rears are leaking and the front passenger side can’t take any bumps. Do not buy.

Product looks good but holy cow, I am confused as why it is so hard to to put bubble wrap or other cheap packaging the box to prevent banging, clanging, etc. the shock boxes were opened, parts floating around, due to 4 shock boxes having no cushioning. Need to spend the extra pennies to ensure the items are not beat up in shipping!

Good service!
Ryan Thompson –
Shocks came in a ripped open box with no cushioning and parts flying around the box with the shock boxes opened up

My ordering process went smoothly. Communication with the company went well. I ordered one part too many and the company recognized it. They did not send the unneeded part and issued me a refund once Contacted them. I have a 04 Crew Cab Tundra 4.7L. I do all pavement pounding no off-roading. The 5100 struts in front are set at 1.06” and I also did a 1” lift block with the rear 5100s. The truck ride nicely. A little stiffer but it takes bumps and potholes so much better than before. The ride is smooth and the handling seems better. The stance of the vehicle is improved and looks very nice. I currently run 17” TRD Rock Warrior wheel with KO2 size 265.75.R17 this is a stock wheel size set up. My current set up weights pretty much what a stock set up weights so it does not put extra stress on the struts and shocks. I am very happy with this kit. If you are a pavement pounder his kit is good. I cannot speak to offroad handling. I believe these are a good investment in the ride quality of a first generation Tundra

The parts were delivered super quickly and exactly as I expected. I went with position 3 to get a more leveled look with the SuperSprings I have in the back for when I haul my camper. 2005 Tundra Access Cab V8 4×4.

I got these for my 2005 Toyota Tundra to replace the stock shocks. I was at 160K miles and original shocks. So one thing I misunderstood is that you can lift the rear up 2” with this kit without any other mods, but you would actually need a block added in order to lift the back. I luckily did not need it because my truck was nose down. So i went ahead and put the front at the highest 2.5” and it was PERFECT. It gave me the level look I was going for and I did NOT need to do anything to the rear shocks. The installation did cost around $300 so just keep that in mind if you’re not installing them yourself. The price of the shocks when I grabbed them ease 385, which in my mind, I stole them. My mechanic was skeptical at first, but quickly changed his mind to “ I’m going to get a pair for my Tacoma” after he installed the shocks and drove the truck.

If you want your truck to drive better than ever you need a set of these. All I can say is amazing difference. It drives and handles better than ever. Gave me an 1.5 inches of lift that was perfect to level out my truck.

Since the reviews here were so helpful for me in my decision making I thought it only right to leave a review to help others.
First off, I received my four Bilstein 5100’s quickly, packaged well and in perfect condition.
Secondly, I vacillated a lot about what the right set up was for me. I didn’t want a huge lift, but wanted more ground clearance, better handling and the ability to fit a slightly larger tire. I ended up with the following setup:
Bilstein 5100’s on front and back. Front struts set on clip ring #3.
1″ spacer block in the back.
Falken Wildpeak AT3’s – 265/70/17 Load Range E – I really wanted to put 275/70/17’s on, but Falken doesn’t make this tire in a Load Range E and I decided the 265’s would be fine and most likely help slightly with fuel mileage and less overspray.
I am very pleased with the results and have attached a picture below for reference. Best of luck with your decision and I hope this helps some of my fellow First Gen Tundra enthusiasts. This blue one is my 3rd First Gen Crew Cab Tundra.

I love the ride of 5100’s. I set the front to stock and ran a 3” spacer with an add a leaf in the rear. I did not think the 5100’s alone would take the front end high enough. The truck rides like great. It handles to 285/70/17 very well also.

The shocks are great, very happy with them. The parts were delivered promptly and exactly as I ordered.

Great shocks! Put on 04 Tundra and didn’t even need the lift kit we bought to install at the same time. Made a huge difference.
Great product !

05 Tundra Base 4×4.
Great shocks. I could not believe the ride difference. Installation was a bit concerning. My spring compressors started to bow in the middle of the bolt before I got it compressed enough for the new shocks. Other than that, everything else was a breeze.
Eric –
Haven’t installed yet, but shipping was extremely fast and all parts appear to be in working condition.

I purchased the 5100s as part of a 20th birthday facelift for my 2002 Tundra SR5 AC (original owner). Pretty much everyone I spoke with in Boulder and all of the articles I read pointed to the 5100s as a solid replacement for my OEM 4600s. Good decision!
We went with 5100s all around, selected the 3rd position lift in the front and no additional risers in the rear. The truck rides like new! Very happy with look too.

Easy install. Great ride. Going to put a set in wife’s Xterra now.

I purchased a set of Bilstein 5100s last year for my 2020 4RUNNER. I was so impressed that I bought a set for my 2004 TUNDRA SR5 2WD V6 3.4L. After over 300K miles on the original factory stock shocks, I finally decided to get new shocks. So much smoother now; the difference is literally night & day. I used the #3 Circlip location to get the 1.33″ lift for the FRONT. For the REAR, I left it at stock height. My truck is now pretty much level with about an inch of “rake.” The nosedive and “floaty” suspension feeling is completely gone! Super-fast shipping, and great price that don’t break the bank. I’m good for another 300K plus miles.

Have a 2004 Toyota Tundra DoubleCab SR5 2WD with 119k. I looked through many different options before choosing the 5100s and so far am very satisfied with results, I used the #5 Clip and raised the front 2.5” inches because of the nose dive it has and now sits .5” taller than the back which is perfect and exactly what I was looking for and rides way better after replacing 20 year old OEM Bilsteins.
Install was pretty simple and straightforward using OEM coils. Shipping was quick and packaged well
Tires are 265/75/16
