Could not be more pleased with my purchase and product. The price at
Bilstein Lifts was the best I could find and the delivery was unbelievable.
I ordered mid afternoon and they were delivered by noon next day. Not sure how that is possible.
I was very dissatisfied with the handling of my 2017 Silverado 1500 Z71.
It came with Rancho shocks and handled horribly. very spongy and soft.
Cornering with the slightest dip in it felt like you were out of control.
“Shame on GM for putting this package out”
With only 7K miles on the truck I reluctantly decided to spend the money on better shocks. (Because dealer said this is normal.) I switched to Bilstein 5100 all around and now it handles corners with ease and the ride is perfect.
Its too bad that GM decided to move away from using Bilstein shocks on there vehicles. I have a 07 Avalanche with 365,K on it and it came with Bilsteins which i replaced with the same at around 160K. still running those same shocks today with over 200K. granted there not like new but still doing the job.

  2. Travis

I have used these on a 2013 ford 150 and now my 2014 silverado 1500 and they are GREAT. i tell people to move to the bilstein 5100’s even if they don’t want to level their truck out, the shocks are just so much better than what comes on new trucks. JUST BUY BILSTEIN’S!!!!

  3. RANDY

So much better than adding blocks. I had them installed by a great shop XTC in Gilbert AZ along with an alignment which I believe you should do after any type of lift. My truck rides so nice now highly recommend these shocks

  4. Clayton

Just installed this on my 18 Chevy Silverado and looks great and ride mint. If you get these make sure you you put the boot down on the rear shocks. Great product.

  5. Jacob McGowan

I am extremely pleased with this set up! The new shocks make my 2018 GMC Sierra ride much better and it looks great sitting level! I appreciate this company! Oh, and the shipping was free, plus it got here in 36 hours. Very happy customer.

  6. Kenneth Kohlberg

I ordered these shocks for my 2017 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLT. I have 57,000 miles on my truck and noticed how bad it was starting to feel on rough roads. I bought these before and put them on a previous 2006 GMC Sierra so I knew how good these shocks are.
I had my dealer install them and needless to say, a huge difference for the best. The ride is so much smoother and my truck no longer bounces over rough roads. I highly recommend Bilstein shocks.

  7. BG

Bought a 2014 GMC 1500. Ride was very rough. Researched struts and shocks for days and decided on Bilstein 5100 struts and shocks. Easy to install and made huge difference in ride. Could not be more pleased with my purchase and product. Delivery was fast and truck rides like new.

  8. William

Excellent shocks! Far better than any factory OEM shock, except specialty vehicles like the ZR2 Colorado with Multi Matic DSSV shocks. I highly recommend them. There’s literally a night and day difference in ride quality, and rebound. It’s worth noting that it would be wise to have 2 spring compressor kits. I had trouble compressing my factory coil springs enough to go any higher than the factory ride height. A commercial grade spring compressor would make this job 3 times easier. It’s literally toughest part of the install.

  9. Roy White

Prompt service and fast shipping in these crazy times was very much appreciated. Product delivered was as described and the best part was the money savings! I try to support local business, but the best I could do local would’ve cost me around $120 more, no thanks. My 2015 Silverado 1500 LTZ rides so much better than before. Much better handling in curves with rough surfaces and better recovery on potholes.

  10. Gilbert

I ordered mid afternoon and they were delivered the next day. They are so much better that the crappy factory ranchos that came on my Silverado I would definitely buy from them again!!

  11. Alex B Reynolds

Couldn’t be happier! My 15 Z71 rides so much better vs the Rancho’s. Be warned that raising them to max height will hurt your MPG. For me it dropped 1.5. But who cares! I plan on getting Bilsteins for my old K10 noe as well!

  12. Bernie

Excellent product and fast shipping . Pleased with the ride over factory shocks.

  13. vvv

product showed up very quickly. great service. correct product was shipped. after install- Bilstein products worked awesome. leveled my truck – new tires – great ride. stock gm products had a very wishy/washy ride. Bilstein 5100 kit for all four corners makes the truck ride great now!!! would use in the future without hesitation!!

  14. Jason Richman

I bought this kit for a 2015 Silverado. The products were all in great condition when they arrived, and they were delivered in under 1 week. AMAZING!
I have not installed these on my truck yet, but from what I have read it will be a dramatic improvement over stock. Very much look forward to the improved ride quality and appearance.
I would definitely order from Billsteinlifts again in a heartbeat.

  15. Michael D Martin

FAST shipping, received the shock kit just as expected, waiting for the spring compressor kit to arrive to install fronts but rears went in easily and with just them the ride is 100% better, do have 177K on the clock though so it was passed time. Will definitely order from bilsteinlifts.com again and will recommend to others with similar situations as mine.

READ THIS REVIEW – I purchased the 5100 series for my 2014 Chevy Silverado Z-71. I purchased all four shocks. I didn’t realize how bad my shocks have gotten until I installed these. My truck rides like new. I definitely recommend these shocks. REAR SHOCK INSTALLATION. The Bilstein 5100 series needs to be installed with the boot down. The OEM shocks (Rancho) are installed with the boot up so I originally installed the Bilstein incorrectly with the boot up. According to Bilstein, the 5100 rear shock should be installed boot down. The words “BILSTEIN” should be right side up at the top of the shock. Don’t make the same mistake I made. FRONT STRUT INSTALLATION. I purchased a spring compressor on Amazon that, in my opinion, worked MUCH better than the ones you borrow from your local auto parts store. I’ll include a link at the bottom of this review for the spring compressor. Also, the 5100 front shock/strut has 4 different levels to choose from. The bottom slot is the OEM slot. I wanted to get rid of as much rake as possible so I chose the top ring to install my struts. It seemed to work well and makes my truck look level without a lift kit or spacer. The top spot lifts the front end 1.85″. Here is the link to the spring compressor I purchased on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088GPXCH5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I hope this helps.

  17. Christopher Goad

Truck rides so much better now! Shipping was fast and everything arrived nicely boxed. Installed struts at 2nd notch from bottom and left on the 2 inch leveling kit I had before. Truck sits perfectly level and rides great. No complaints!

  18. Josh

Fast shipping. Exactly what i needed

  19. Thomas N Rodriguez

    Good parts

  20. Thomas Lowe

The Bilstein 5100 series are great. You get what you pay for. Shipping wasn’t as quick as the website said but still reasonable. Everything packaged nicely. I installed the rear shocks and had the struts installed professionally. This is the best this Silverado has ridden and driven since I purchased it 4 years ago. I’m kicking myself for not doing this a long time ago since I drive just over 100 miles a day.

You’ll pay a little more for these shocks/struts than a “factory” replacement but it’s worth it.
